About Therapeutic Thai Massage

Therapeutic Thai massage course prepares you to specialize in Thai massage that promotes therapeutic benefit and bring balance to the body.

This method involves firm pressure pressing on muscles. Movement and stretching are usually included in any session.

The Therapeutic Thai massage method is usually provided to clients who seek a technique to relieve their pain, stiffness, and discomfort such as common neck, shoulder, back, and joints pain. Besides therapeutic benefits, therapeutic Thai massage also delivers a deep relaxation experience.

Class Descriptions:

Students will be paired up with partners and practice giving and receiving therapeutic Thai massage on each other. Students will learn how to use a proper body mechanics, positioning, sitting, hand position, application of fingers, palms, forearms, and stretching. They will also learn dos and don’ts, and application of good Thai massage. Students will learn to select effective techniques to fit a chosen time frame for a client session (30, 60, 90, and 120 minutes). Each student will practice on the instruction and receive comments from the instructor.

Outcome:

• Be able to perform a 120-minute therapeutic Thai massage session that is safe, polite, and effective
• Be able to apply basic therapeutic Thai massage to relieve minor muscle tension, ache, and pain.
• Be able to select effective massage techniques and suggest an appropriate time frame of either a 30, 60, 90 or a 120-minute massage that is suitable to client’s age, health status, physical condition, concerns, and goal of his or her treatment
• Be able to perform therapeutic Thai massage with smooth in transition and gentle techniques.
• Be able to perform therapeutic Thai massage in all position: supine, prone, side lying, and sitting position
• Be able to understand Thai way of practice
• Be confident in your practice by the end of the class
• Becoming one of the best Thai massage therapists that specializes in therapeutic Thai massage
